British jewellery brands, Tateossian and Thompson London, will open up the Nigerian market from 1 November when two products from the company are listed on the country’s largest airline Arik Air.

The signature Tateossian Propeller Cufflinks, rhodium plated with carbon fibre and rotating gold coloured propellers will be available at $95 alongside Thompson London’s grey braided leather double wrap bracelet for $75.

Arik Air is the second African airline to take the brands after South African Airways. Commenting on the Nigerian move, Managing Director Robert Tateossian (left) tells TRBusiness: “Nigerians have big spending power… they are usually interested in gold and higher value items. It is well known that the London-Lagos route is the most profitable for airlines for inflight sales.”

Tateossian says that its seasonal collections, for both men and women have a distinctive look, constantly reflecting and reinterpreting trends in fashion. The company’s contemporary have attracted a huge fan base and it now sells in over 71 countries around the world, with more than 1,000 points of sale.
