Travel retailer Nuance, party of Dufry, has been recognised again for its service by winning the Service & Courtesy Award from the Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA), described as the Oscars of the retail trade in Hong Kong.
Crystal Wong Chi Ha, Sales Associate of Nuance’s Taste & Delights confectionery boutique won the Food Shops Category at the Junior Frontline Level against competition from over 700 participants.
This year, Nuance – which has been honoured with 17 service awards from the HKRMA – had three staff entered for the final stage of the assessment. The other two were Titus Man Yu Tak of Taste & Delights confectionery store (Junior Frontline) and Noel Lau Kwong Ching of Sound & Vision Enriching Life electronics store (Supervisory)
Alessandra Piovesana (left), Nuance’s Regional Managing Director, Asia, comments: “We place the highest priority on service excellence. Customer service is the key to success in retail, particularly in airport retailing. Customers at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) demand high standards. Therefore, we dedicate a lot of effort into the resources and time in providing training to our staff to ensure they are capable of offering exceptional service. I congratulate all our finalists and especially Crystal.”
An award presentation will be held at the HKRMA 31st Anniversary Ball at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 9 December.
