ASUTIL to hold new border meeting

By Doug Newhouse |

The Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) is holding a Second Border Meeting on November 12, 2014 at the Rivera Casino & Resort.

Once again it has joined forces with the Cámara de Empresarios de Free Shops del Uruguay (CEFSU) organisation which also has a common interest in facing the mutual challenges posed by the border business.

This latest meeting, ‘Facing New Challenges’ is to once again feature the participation of national and regional authorities, together with leading professionals in economic matters from Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.

ASUTIL says it has added new speakers to last year´s agenda, effectively meaning that this year’s meeting will last a full day beginning at 08.00am and ending at 18.00 hours.

NEW TOOLS AND STRATEGIES…

In a statement, ASUIL said: “It is with great pleasure that we announce that the registrations are already open. First you will need to register on line [http://encuentrodefronteras.com.uy] and then after payment attendees can book a hotel room at the Rivera Casino & Resort.

Reservations can only be made by sending the hotel booking form to [email protected]. The reservation documentation can then be downloaded from the email once confirmation of registration has been received.

ASUTIL commented: “We believe that this Second Meeting will be as successful as last year´s and that it will also provide [delegates] with new tools and strategies which would be able to enrich your institutions and continue to contribute to the economic development of Uruguay and its bordering countries.

Meanwhile, ASUTIL has already announced that ASUTIL 2015 will now take place in Panama City, with the conference scheduled to be held between Wednesday June 3 to Saturday June 6. The association says that the recommended hotel will be confirmed shortly.
