Bacardi hires ex-Revlon MD to drive Asia Pacific

Bacardi Global Travel Retail has appointed ex-Revlon Managing Director, Irving Holmes Wong, as Regional Director for Asia Pacific tasked with growing a stronger brand presence in the region.

 

Irving (right) will lead the Asia Pacific team as it continues to develop strong partnerships in the region and builds on the success of the company’s portfolio of premium spirit brands.

 

Commenting on the appointment, Mike Birch, Managing Director of Bacardi Global Travel Retail, says: “Irving brings to Bacardi a strong track record in growing businesses in luxury and premium brands across Asia Pacific, skills and experience which will prove invaluable as we accelerate the growth of our business in the region.”

 

Irving was previously Managing Director for Revlon in Hong Kong and Taiwan where he was instrumental in establishing a strengthened organisation, driving greater distribution efficiency and improvements across retail, service and merchandising.

 

“There are untapped and amazing opportunities for Bacardi Global Travel Retail in the Asia Pacific region,” says Irving. “I believe that we, as a team, are ready to seize them and bring even greater value to both our shoppers and customers.”

 

Irving’s previous roles also include tenure as General Manager, Asia at Clorox/ Burt’s Bees as well as General Manager for L’Oréal in Hong Kong. He will be based at the Bacardi GTR’s Regional Office in Hong Kong.
