Tom Ford opens DFS beauty counter

By Doug Newhouse |

The DFS Galleria Waikiki has opened a new Tom Ford counter carrying the designer’s latest cosmetics, signature fragrances and Private Blend Collection.

The second floor counter has been designed to give off the feel of a spacious salon, with an interior tables featuring Makassar Ebony wood, juxtaposed with grey-tinted mirrors with polished chrome and “clean, linear furnishings”.

The company said: “This palette is warmed with touches of gold – a nod to the gold detail and branding on Tom Ford Beauty packaging – and illuminated throughout with radiant, white light. The mood is inviting, seductive and unmistakably Tom Ford.

DESIGNED TO BE AN EXPERIENCE
“The Cosmetics Collection is housed in a chrome display case with graceful, curving lines and a hint of Art Deco elegance. The softly lit case features generously sized illuminated mirrors. This abundance of light reflects the Tom Ford Beauty philosophy of radiant and luminous skin. The easel bases and the drawers below feature crafted golden handles that are inspired by the vintage jewellery of Parisienne designer, Line Vautrin.”

Consultation tables have been paired with custom- made leather stools finished with crafted gold-coloured bars on the backrests. The company says these offer customers a comfortable and intimate setting for a personal session with a Tom Ford beauty advisor.

The Estée Lauder Companies added: “Tom Ford fragrances are prominently featured on illuminated display units made of Makassar Ebony with chrome shelving. These shelves showcase lavish presentations of Tom Ford Signature Fragrances for women and men, inspired by perfumery’s alluring past, when the world’s most exquisite ingredients were crafted into timeless scents with lasting, iconic impact, and the exclusive Tom Ford Private Blend Collection, of unisex fragrances, which opens a door into the mesmerizing world of artisanal scent.”
