DFS is giving travellers an insight into artisan shoe-making in collaboration with Salvatore Ferragamo from September 28 to October 6, 2013 at its stores in Hong Kong and Macao.

DFS Group and Salvatore Ferragamo, will promote “The Art of Shoemaking”, road show at DFS’ selected locations in Hong Kong and Macao to demonstrate Ferragamo’s craftsmanship and quality of materials in each handmade shoe.

According to DFS, an expert craftsman will fly from Florence to create a Ferragamo shoe directly in front of the public, explaining the various stages of a handmade “made in Italy” product.

“As the experts in curating luxury retail experiences for world travellers, we are excited and proud to partner with Salvatore Ferragamo in offering our customers a unique viewpoint into the Art of Shoemaking by one of the craft’s most skilled artisans,” said Harold Brooks, President for Global Merchandising of DFS Group.
