After its successful Middle East debut, Philip Morris International Duty Free has launched Marlboro Premium Black in Asia exclusively at Beijing and Shanghai airports.

The company says that this high-end premium product offer reflects Chinese legal age smoker’s preferences for luxurious and exclusive travel retail goods.

PMI Duty Free adds that it also remains committed to providing ‘an engaging and memorable shopping experience for adult travellers’.

As part of this, PMI Duty Free Director Marketing Svetlana Konovalenko outlined the legal-aged smokers’ journey at Beijing Airport: “Attention and appeal is achieved through the concourse stand which accentuates the beauty of the Pininfarina designed Ferrari 458 silhouette and showcases other work-of-art items designed by Pininfarina through physical and digital display.

“Legal aged smokers are then invited to the duty free retail outlet to receive a complimentary gift and discover more about the Marlboro Premium Black exclusive product offer.”

The company adds that Marlboro Premium Black consists of ‘the finest selected high-quality tobaccos’, blended to deliver a smooth and mellow taste sensation.

Interestingly, the pack has been designed ‘with perfection in every detail by Pininfarina’, the designer of Ferrari cars.

In addition, the company claims that the innovative ProFreshTM is the first automatic seal for premium freshness protection that actually ‘preserves cigarette quality’ and allows the pack to be opened and closed in one move.
