Wolf Blass and TWE launch TR exclusive luxury wine range

Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) has launched ‘Estates of the Barossa’, a travel retail exclusive range of luxury Wolf Blass wines.

The new collection, currently only available through Nuance stores in Australia, features four ‘captivating’ Shiraz wines selected from the iconic Barossa wine region of Australia and named after the four sub-regions – Lyndoch, Dorrien, St John’s and Moculta – that have helped define the Wolf Blass style over the course of 40 years.

“The 2012 ‘Estates of the Barossa’ Shiraz are four distinctively different wines, crafted from a single variety, harvested from a single vintage, and handled with the same deft winemaking touch, but allowed to express their individuality through the sites, soils, climate and vineyard practices that encompass each of their unique and inimitable sub-regional terroirs”, says Wolf Blass Chief Winemaker Chris Hatcher.

Tom King, General Manager Global Travel Retail at Treasury Wine Estates, says: “We are delighted to be launching this range of incredible wines into Global Travel Retail. Wolf Blass has a rich winemaking heritage and the ‘Estates of the Barossa’ range will appeal to travellers looking to discover new wines.

“We know the strongest opportunity for wine category growth is at the luxury end and this 100% gift boxed range will fulfil travellers’ gifting motivations, whilst providing them with a deeper appreciation and understanding of one of the world’s most iconic wine regions.”

Philippe Boyer, CEO of Nuance Australia, adds: “We are delighted to partner with TWE on yet another world first for wine in Global Travel Retail. Wolf Blass ‘Estates of the Barossa’ is the perfect fit for us as we seek to further accelerate growth in the wine category, and in particular, luxury wine.”

Wolf Blass ‘Estates of the Barossa’ is available at AU$89 per individual bottle or as a Limited Edition four bottle gift set, priced at AU$399.
