By Kevin Rozario |

Tenders at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) for two concessions:  pharmaceutical & personal care, and for audio-visual/ electronics (AVE) are closing soon: 22 August and 29 August respectively, both at 11am (Hong Kong time).

The personal care tender covers four locations in restricted area (three in departures and one in arrivals) and two at landside, while the AVE tender covers three locations: two in departures of about 240sq m each, and one small landside unit (see tables below).

Tender documents cost HK$500 for each tender (non – refundable). Full details of how to apply can be found here and here.

HKIA processed 59.9m passengers in 2013 and the hub claims visitors with strong spending power have a big share of traffic: Mainland China (20%), Taiwan (16%), South & Southeast Asia (15%), Europe, Africa & Middle East (12%) based on a consumer shopping and dining behaviour tracking survey from November 2013 carried out by Cimigo Limited.
