Coccinelle expands in Philippines and Taiwan

Parma-based luxury house Coccinelle has continued its Asian travel retail expansion with a number of openings in the Philippines and Taiwan.
In the fast-growing Taiwanese duty free market the Italian brand has opened units with major DF&TR operators Everrich and Tasa Meng.
In July Everrich opened a Coccinelle space at Kaohsiung International Airport as well as a corner in its Kinmen Golden Lake Plaza Mall on Kinmen Island, with another space at the Everrich Duty Free Plaza Mall in Taipei opening in August.
Meanwhile, in the same month, Tasa Meng launched the brand at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport’s Terminal 2.
In the Philippines, Coccinelle has opened two locations with Regent Asia Group: a space at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Terminal 2 earlier this month, and, in July, a corner (left) in the off-airport duty free Fiesta Mall close by.
Emanuele Mazziotta (right), Head of Travel Retail, comments: “Asia is a strategic market for Coccinelle and these openings represent an important step in strengthening the company’s presence in this key region.”
The spaces opened with the Autumn Winter 2014/15 collection, inspired by the ‘Classic Revolution’ theme – a collection that marks the evolution of an informal chic style with vintage variations. The colour palette is discrete and focuses on natural earth colours.
