LSTR opens ‘tech2go’ at Auckland

LS travel retail Pacific has opened its first 40sq m stand alone tech2go electronics store in Auckland International Airport’s Airside Departures area.

The new store range includes headphones, ‘fashion-styled inspired App’cessories’, covers, chargers, gizmos and gadgets and ‘something for every traveller seeking out the latest and greatest technology’.

This pop-up store also offers exclusive products such as Drones, Tegware Bagel and Cocoons, as well as trendy mobile and levitating headphone displays – said to be ‘a first’ for tech2go.

LSTR adds that store staff are also knowledgeable and helpful, providing travellers with a unique experience, while the pop-up design makes moving the store to another location relatively easy.

Following the success of the concept in Australia and shop-in-shop in New Zealand, LS travel retail Pacific says it is excited to bring the concept to Auckland Airport. As a result, the retailer now operates eight stand-alone, and eight shop-in-shop tech2go stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.

‘INNOVATIVE AND EXCITING CONCEPT
Commenting on this latest new initiative, LS travel retail Pacific CEO Matt Mercier said: “Auckland Airport is a valued partner of ours. Their forward-thinking approach and commitment towards building exceptional passenger experiences lets us create exciting innovations.

“With dynamic store environments, new brands and in demand products, this is an important step in our path to connecting travellers with all their tech needs through this innovative and exciting concept.”

Adding his comments, Richard Barker, Auckland Airport’s General Manager Retail and Commercial said: “We are delighted to welcome tech2go by LS travel retail Pacific and its range of technology products to Auckland Airport. It is a welcome addition to our international duty free shopping experience.

“We are focused on providing our passengers with a shopping experience they won’t get anywhere else in New Zealand, with a growing range of products and services that represent some of the best of New Zealand and the world.”
