Manston Airport in Kent in the UK has added the contents of its duty free shop to auction lots following its closure last May.

A grand online auction is already open where bidders can lodge offers for all remaining assets removed from the former airport site, with the bid deadline set for July 30 this month.

The contents of the duty free shop which was operated in house, include fragrances from brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Giorgio Armani, Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Jean Paul Gaultier, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Lacoste and Burberry, plus other perfume, after shave, body lotions and cosmetics. There are also several other items for auction, including alcohol, games, books, travel items and USB chargers.

A wide range of shop fittings including display cabinets and counters, modular shelving, wire shopping baskets and cash registers are also listed as lots in the auction. All bidding for all lots closes on July 30 this month

Manston Airport closed in May with the loss of 150 jobs, despite three offers from a US investment firm, which were not taken seriously by the owner Ann Gloag.
