UK High Street fashion retailer Next is set to open its third – and largest – airport store at London Stansted in mid-October as part of the $80m ($131m) transformation of the airport’s international departure lounge.

The 252sq m tax-free store is also the first to bring Next’s children’s range to a UK airport, in addition to women’s and men’s fashion. Next currently operates units at Birmingham and London Gatwick airports according to a spokesperson for the listed British fashion house.

Beth Brewster, Retail Director at Manchester Airports Group which runs Stansted, says: “These are exciting times at Stansted and I’m delighted to welcome Next as they join a line-up of global brands, new concepts and popular favourites.”
