Nuance joins Estée Lauder in highlighting breast cancer campaign

By Caroline Sargent |

Nuance has teamed up with The Estée Lauder Companies to support their Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign. Throughout October, internationally recognized as ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’, Nuance will be using store space, technology and donations with purchase to promote this important movement in Zurich and Cardiff Airports.

Founded in 1992 by the late Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder, The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Campaign became synonymous through the launch of the Pink Ribbon, now the universal symbol for breast health. To date the BCA Campaign has raised more than $53 million to support global research, education and medical services.

Henrik Ottosson, Nuance Category Manager for P&C and Food in EMEA comments, “We are pleased to be able to further advance and promote the BCA Campaign with our long term partner The Estée Lauder Companies. The underlying message of this campaign is that we are stronger together, which reflects our commitment to work side by side with The Estée Lauder Companies to raise awareness for this appeal. By supporting our partner in their BCA Campaign we hope to help raise both awareness and donations for this very worthy cause.”

Nuance is dedicating retail and marketing space to raise awareness, as well as customized offers in both Zurich and Cardiff Airports. With every purchase of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair, customers will receive a pink ribbon key ring and, furthermore, a small donation will be made to support the BCA Campaign.

Campaign videos will be broadcasted on new digital screens to inspire and encourage customers to support the cause and Nuance’s interactive tablets will also be used to showcase BCA material, alongside dedicated space on the Zurich and Cardiff Duty Free websites.

The Zurich duty free store will promote the BCA Campaign directly in front of the Estée Lauder offer on level one. Bringing the campaign to the forefront of the walkthrough store, staff will highlight the cause by wearing pink ribbons and pink t-shirts.

In the UK, the walkthrough area at Cardiff Airport will feature two high profile dedicated promotion units for the BCA Campaign during October. In addition, Nuance and the airport have offered up space on both their air-side and land-side flight information screens. Till points will be also be garnished with messages together with counter cards, ribbons and other promotional products. Nuance employees will also be participating in a pink ‘Bake-off’ challenge to commemorate the cause.

Jean-Charles Séité, Vice President/General Manager, The Estée Lauder Companies Travel Retail EMA says,: “As the late Mrs. Evelyn H. Lauder, our founder and guiding spirit, always said, ‘It really is something that can never be done by any one person; it has to be done by a group.’ In true ‘We’re Stronger Together’ spirit, The Estée Lauder Companies Travel Retail is pleased to partner with The Nuance Group for the 2014 BCA Campaign’s fight against breast cancer.”
