Victoria’s Secret opens in Delhi
By Doug Newhouse |
Victoria’s Secret has opened its first beauty and accessories store with Delhi Duty Free at Indira Gandhi International Airport T3.
The company opened ‘this worst-kept secret’ 995sq ft store opening on April 7 in joint venture with Aer Rianta International, marking its first presence at any Indian sub continent airport.
This follows earlier separate news this month that the beauty retailer is also opening a new store at Adelaide Airport in Australia with LS travel retail Pacific – its second with the LS Group following their joint success at Prague Airport. The new Delhi store is expected to feature Victoria’s Secret products of the moment, which include fragrances such as its FiFi Award-winning Victoria’s Secret Bombshell and some of its new collections such as Glamour.
ACCESSORY RANGE
It will also include a range of functional accessories for business trips and weekend getaways, including branded cosmetic cases and multi-use fashion bags, passport holders, phone cases, travel adaptors and headphones.
Other accessories will also be available, including scarves, ‘high-quality sunglasses’ and the trademark underwear assortment.
The company said: “The modern façade and dynamic storefront boast an air of sophistication, while the interior features upscale elements like black-cherry fixtures and eye-catching focal walls. The store also showcase both its brand identity and range of products with a gallery of iconic black and white images and a video wall that broadcasts footage of the Victoria’s Secret Angels.”
