Counter Intelligence Retail (CIR) adds key staff

By Kevin Rozario |

In response to growing travel retail client demand, UK-based research and category development agency Counter Intelligence Retail (CIR) has makes two new appointments.

Matthew James (below) joins CIR as its Global Data, Reporting and Insights Manager while Lisa Goosen (right) joins as the Global Fieldwork Manager.

James joins the business having spent 10 years at Nestlé UK where he was Strategic Analysis Manager, reporting at board level on key market and competitor intelligence.

Goosen was, most recently, at Elevate Retail Solutions where she managed a team of field activators who implemented brand and retail execution across a number of regions for brands such as Mars and Nokia.

Commenting on the new recruits, CIR Managing Director, Garry Stasiulevicuis, says: “As we are now handling more and more data, Matthew will set up and lead a centralised CIR data and reporting function, handling all data management needs across the business while Lisa’s role will be pivotal in evolving the structure of our field activities.”

CIR now has on-airport activity at more than 50 airports on a monthly basis for a number of its clients, so establishing a permanent global network of activators is seen as essential going forward.
