Isabella Leone joins Portland Design

By Charlotte Turner |

Portland has appointed Isabella Leone (formerly of The Buchan Group) as Head of its Developments team (working on airports, shopping centres and mixed-use commercial strategy and masterplanning projects).

Alan Thompson, Director of Developments, says: “It’s great to have Isabella on board. She brings with her a wealth of masterplanning experience across a wide range of sectors and has joined us at a very exciting and busy time.”

He continues: “At present we are working on a number of large, prestigious masterplanning projects in the UK, Kuwait, Norway, Russia, Macau, Turkey and Sweden, so Isabella’s knowledge and skills will be well utilized.”

Leone comments: “I am very excited to be joining Portland as I know it will give me the opportunity to explore a more creative approach to projects as well as developing my passion for putting the customer experience at the heart of everything I work on.”

Ibrahim Ibrahim, MD of Portland says: “The last 12-18 months have been really momentous in terms of new client relationships that we have made. With the seismic shift in the retail landscape and the impact of new technologies, we feel that we are well placed to help plan and design commercial spaces that are more responsive and relevant to new consumer expectations. Isabella’s appointment represents an important step in the continued growth of the Portland team.”
