New YSL Or Rouge skincare trio in travel retail

By Caroline Sargent |

Or Rouge, the new luxury skincare collection from Yves Saint Laurent, is now available in travel retail following a recent multilingual showcase at Gatwick, Heathrow and Dubai airports.

There are three parts to the premium line skin routine: a skin plumping beauty lotion that is applied to the face first with cotton wool pads; a refreshing eye cream to reduce puffiness and dark circles; and an anti-ageing day cream – a blend of seven nutritive oils to combat fine lines, loss of elasticity, redness, uneven skin tone and visible pores, which is applied using the special ‘pistil’ spatula.

Or Rouge has been created by YSL SkinScience around a particular variety of saffron, rich in skin rejuvenating glycans and found only in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains. The country and its colours were a constant source of inspiration to Yves Saint Laurent who often retreated to his houses in Marrakech and Tangier for periods of reflection.

“Now, the discovery of the potency of saffron from this region completes the circle returning us to a land known for its rich culture and the healing, life-enhancing properties of its natural assets,” says Stephan Bezy, International General Manager, Yves Saint Laurent Beauté.

“Today, the spirit of Morocco that lies at the very heart of the Saint Laurent House has been brought to life through a luxurious skincare collection, Or Rouge.”

The Or Rouge oriental style flacons designed by furniture and interior designer Noé Duchaufour Lawrance are presented in the label’s heritage colourway of black, gold and red and feature a hand finished golden swirl on the cap.

Or Rouge was recently showcased across London airports and Dubai travel retail, using high quality cabinet displays and visuals translated into Chinese, Russian and English.
