Three DFS doors for Shinola watches

By Caroline Sargent |

DFS Group (DFS) has secured three new locations for US watch brand Shinola, two of them exclusive firsts, at its airport stores and downtown T Galleria and DFS Galleria stores in Hawaii, Guam and Abu Dhabi.

Founded in 2011 in Detroit, Shinola produces modern, handcrafted timepieces, bicycles, leather goods and journals, combining high quality Swiss-made parts with all-American craftsmanship. Every Shinola watch is guaranteed for life under the terms and conditions of their limited lifetime warranty.

“We are delighted to welcome Shinola to our portfolio of some of the world’s best timepiece brands,” said Christophe Chaix, Senior Vice-President, Global Merchandising – Watches, Jewellery, Accessories & Sunglasses, DFS Group.

“Shinola’s very strong brand proposition, together with its focus on quality craftsmanship and design, raises the bar in contemporary fashion watches. The addition of Shinola reflects our commitment to nurturing new brands, and curating the most unique products for our customers to discover.”

Steve Bock, CEO, Shinola commented, “We are thrilled to partner with DFS to enter the travel retail space. This partnership has truly opened doors for our growing brand and accelerated our effort in bringing the essence of American heritage and design to tastemakers and watch lovers the world over.”

The Shinola range starts at around US$525 and a carefully curated assortment of men’s and women’s styles will be available at T Galleria Hawaii, and exclusively at DFS in Guam and Abu Dhabi International Airport.
