Special Trinity concession session

By Doug Newhouse |

The organisers of next month’s Trinity Forum in Taiwan have announced Stephen Freibrun as a new speaker for its Colloquium on Concession Management.

This special session is being offered as part of the overall Trinity Forum package and is described as a ‘not to be missed’ event for airport executives.

Freibrun is described as a Principal in ICF International’s Aviation Services Practice who leads the Commercial Planning Group’s efforts in the Americas and in Asia. He is credited with more than 20 years of management and real estate experience in the public and private sectors.

His role with clients is said to extend to creating commercial plans, strategic approaches to enhancing non-airline revenues, financial models and feasibility analyses, research analyses, Requests for Proposals and other reports.

ATTRACTING HIGH QUALITY PARTNERS

Freibrun is tasked with addressing trends and best practice approaches for developing a proposal process that not only informs, but also interests.

ACI says an airport’s goals should be to attract the highest quality concessionaires and in that spirit Freibrun will discuss how to achieve this goal, plus how to establish a long-term partnership with the best operators – those that will optimize customer satisfaction and sales.

This session is being led by Dr. Rafael Echevarne, ACI World Director, Economics and Program Development and the organisers say it is open to all attendees of the Trinity who are interested in increasing their profit margins, ‘as non-aeronautical revenues are becoming an important source of income’.

This year’s host for the event is Taoyuan International Airport Corporation. A total of 30.7m (+15%) passengers used Taoyuan Airport in 2013 and this is expected to reach 34m by the end of this calendar year. The single delegate fee cost of attending the Trinity Forum 2014 is $1,350 and the Taipei Grand Hyatt Hotel is currently quoting a price of NT$7,000 (approximately $234) per night (+15.5% service charge and tax).

The Trinity Forum 2014 (co-organised by The Moodie Report and ACI) is scheduled to begin in Taipei, Taiwan from 17–19 September. For hotel reservation details and further information visit www.Trinity2014.com
