Jägermeister gets FRA in party spirit with Spice promotion

By Caroline Sargent |

From September, Jägermeister will be greeting passengers at Frankfurt airport in traditional lederhosen and dirndl dresses, as the spirit brand gets into the swing for Oktoberfest with a pop-up ‘Wirtshaus’ activation.

Open until the start of November, the Jägermeister Wirtshaus will be offering all the magic and charm of a traditional German inn along with a few surprises. The ‘wooden wheel of fortune’ will give visitors the chance to enjoy an ice-cold shot of Jägermeister or take home a travel retail exclusive gift of their choice: a mini tankard or limited edition Jägermeister bag.

Passengers at Frankfurt airport will also be able to purchase Jägermeister Spice, the brand’s first ever product extension presented initially in 2013. A warm blend of cinnamon, vanilla and the original herbal liqueur, this exclusive offer will be available as a seasonal travel retail item in limited quantities starting in September.

In addition to Frankfurt, Jägermeister will be taking its Wirtshaus-themed promotion to other major airports including Copenhagen, Auckland and – for the first time – London Gatwick.
