Dutyfly teams up with Blue Air

Dutyfly Solutions is joining forces with Romanian Airline Blue Air on February 1 2015 – marking its entry into the Eastern European inflight market.
Blue Air is ten years old and described as one of the Eastern Europe’s leading airlines, with more than 1.5m passengers a year and it is now decided to include a new on-board duty free service in partnership with Dutyfly Solutions.
The Aelia-Servair joint-venture airline specialist retailer hopes to reward Blue Air’s trust and confidence in its expertise to put together an attractive offer for the airline’s customer base from the beginning of next year.
In a statement, Gheorghe Racaru – CEO Blue Air, commented: “Dutyfly Solutions’ 17 years’ experience, remarkable track record and professionalism led us to select them. Their successful partnerships with the largest national airlines in Europe gave us the comfort that our passengers will benefit of the highest quality standards in respect to the onboard services provided during their flights.”
For its part, Dutyfly Solutions says that this ‘new, ambitious and very promising partnership’ reinforces Dutyfly Solutions’ position as a European leader, enabling the group to extend its development. After France, Spain and Italy, new bases will be set up in Bucharest and Bacau for the start of this new Blue Air business on February 1, 2015.
A NEW TEAM IS BEING CREATED
A new team will be responsible for managing the warehouse, the production chain and the operational activities related to Blue Air’s inflight sales, with operations to be overseen by the Paris office in liaison and with support from LS Travel Retail Romania.

Dutyfly Solutions describes itself as a key specialist in inflight sales specialized in creating, preparing and delivering concepts and products for the inflight business. It currently conducts business in four countries, with full concessions on airlines which include Air France, Alitalia, Iberia, CSA Czech Airlines, Air Caraibes and Air Tahiti Nui.
For its part, the Blue Air fleet currently consists of Boeing 737 modern aircraft, including: 737-300 series, 737-400 series and 737-500, with varying capacities between 126 and 170 seats each.
According to its website, Blue Air either flies to, or has confirmed imminent plans to service the following destinations in Europe, including: Bacau; Barcelona; Bologna; Brasov; Brussels; Bucharest; Catania; Constanta; Dublin; Koln (new); Larnaca; Liverpool (new); London (Luton); Madrid; Malaga; Milan (Bergamo); Naples; Nice; Paris (Beauvais); Rome; Sibiu; Stuttgart; Tel Aviv; Turin; and Valencia.
