Maui Jim hires Carrie Soderstrom as Brand Manager Travel Retail

Polarised sunglasses brand Maui Jim has created the new role of Brand Manager, Travel Retail and has appointed Carrie Soderstrom to the post.

 

Maui Jim has made the move in order to strengthen its penetration into the global DF&TR channel and enhance its marketing efforts with respect to its PolarizedPlus2 sunglasses.

 

Soderstrom will develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives for global DF&TR accounts, working closely with the Maui Jim’s duty free sales team to provide dedicated marketing support and identify opportunities for brand positioning, promotions, and events.

 

Soderstrom was previously at MedPro Advantage in Peoria, Illinois in the US for 11 years, where she held the positions of Director of Business Analytics, Director of Sales and eCommerce, and Purchasing and Inventory Manager. The company is a medical management corporation that runs dermatology clinics, plastic surgery practices, spas, and surgical centres in Illinois and Iowa.

 

Soderstrom was responsible for the overall profitability of the retail division, as well as several service lines, and developed the strategic sales and marketing plans together with the senior operations team and the CFO. While at MedPro Advantage, she worked across multiple divisions, leading large teams of people.
