Pure Gold sales rise 15% at ADIA

Leading Middle East airport jewellery retailer Pure Gold has reported a 15% rise in sales at Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) in 2013.

In a press statement, Pure Gold CEO and Managing Director Karim Merchant said: “The increase in passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi Airport has had a positive effect on our gold and diamond sales.

“We strive to offer our customers an unforgettable shopping experience with new products and exciting promotions catering to the multi-cultural audience. One of the highlights of 2013 was the introduction of Welsh jewellery brand Clogau exclusively at our Abu Dhabi Duty Free store. “

Abu Dhabi Airports’ Vice President Commercial, Gavin McKechnie said: “As passenger traffic through Abu Dhabi International Airports continues to grow, Abu Dhabi Airports constantly aims to partner with the leading brands and retailers such as Pure Gold Jewellers to provide passengers with a unique platform for an unparalleled shopping experience.”

The gold and jewellery specialist has operated exclusively in all the terminals at Abu Dhabi International Airport since April 2008.
