Russian airports’ liquids ban lifted
By Doug Newhouse |
ETRC has confirmed that as of yesterday (April 2) the Russian restrictions on carrying liquids in personal luggage to Russia have been lifted. These were originally imposed as part of the heightened security arrangements for the Sochi Winter Olympics.
At the same time, additional security measures introduced for the carriage of duty free LAGs (liquids, aerosols, gels) on flights to Russia, requiring purchases to be sealed in Security Tamper-Evident Bags (STEBs), has also been rescinded.
As of today, all travellers to Russia will see a return to normal rules regarding carrying liquids, aerosols and gels on all flights.
