Kousa leaves Finnair Travel Retail

Timo Kousa, Managing Director of Finnair Travel Retail Ltd has left the company with immediate effect, following the announcement that Finnair Travel Retail (FTR) has agreed to sell its airport shop operations to the World Duty Free Group and partner with Gebr. Heinemann on its inflight and pre-order business [http://www.trbusiness.com/index.php/regional/nordic/15718-finnair-sells-up-to-world-duty-free-group-wdfg-at-helsinki.html].Kousa, who has led Finnair Travel Retail since September 2012 has been appointed Managing Director of Aurinkomatkat Suntours Ltd, the tour operator owned by Finnair Group. He has served as the acting Managing Director of Suntours since the end of April 2014, in addition to his role as the Managing Director of Finnair Travel Retail Ltd.”Timo has strong retail industry and the change management experience needed to lead Aurinkomatkat Suntours to the next level”, says Allister Paterson, Chief Commercial Officer of Finnair. “The Suntours brand is synonymous with great vacation experiences, and Timo’s team will continue working closely with Finnair to create exciting new future products and destinations.”
