AOT president resigns from office

By Doug Newhouse |

The President of Airports of Thailand (AOT) Makin Petplai has resigned and is to be replaced by interim appointee Narandra Theeranatsin with effect from September 16.

Airports of Thailand said in statement that the departure was by ’mutual agreement’ between AOT and the outgoing President and the search for a new replacement will now begin.

The announcement comes at the same time that AOT has indicated locally that there will be a delay related to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport’s planned $1.9bn expansion while the self-appointed military government reviews the plans.
