TSA still regularly finding loaded guns
By Doug Newhouse |
The US Transportation Security Administration’s latest ‘Week in Review’ says it is still regularly finding loaded guns in airline passenger luggage
In the last week alone it confiscated 33 loaded firearms and a stun grenade after finding 42 firearms buried in luggage. The TSA’s regular blog says these items are just a few of the ‘artfully concealed prohibited items discovered in the last week.
Other examples where prohibited items were found by TSA officers ‘in strange places’ included a double-edged belt buckle knife at Kansas City Airport; a kitchen knife in the lining of a carry-on bag at Houston Intercontinental; a belt buckle knife at Los Angeles Airport; and a cane sword and nunchucks [martial arts weapon-Ed] with attached blade in a carry-on bag at Las Vegas.
