APTRA asks members for research priorities

By Kevin Rozario |

aptra-logoThe Asia Pacific Travel Retail Association (APTRA) is surveying its members to find out their priorities for the organisation’s 2016-2017 research programme.

President, Jaya Singh, comments: “We live in dynamic times and the greater the level of insights that we can achieve through our research platform the greater the relevance that all our stakeholders and members can deliver. We want to target our research where it is most needed so we have asked members to nominate future subjects for research.”

Singh: targeted research

Recent reports have covered a range of topics including Chinese, Indian and Korean consumer behaviour, Cambodian traveller trends, the impact of security regulations, and fashion/accessories, confectionery, gifting and eyewear category reports.

The full research reports are available exclusively to members but key findings are shared at APTRA Insights Seminars staged around the Asia Pacific region. In September 2015, over 250 participants attended a seminar roadshow in Hong Kong, New Delhi and Seoul.

Commenting on the seminars, Singh says: “The response from delegates was extremely favourable and we intend to schedule similar seminars into the programme next year.”
