Pure Gold and Tumi win contracts at Changi

Luxury jewellery retailer Pure Gold and Bengawan Solo, famous for its Indonesian cakes, have won contracts to operate concessions in the Departure/Transit lounge West at Singapore Changi Airport’s Terminal 1.

 

 

 

LianBee-Jeco Pte. Ltd’s Braun Buffell and Luxury Ventures Pte. Ltd operating a Tumi store have also been listed among the successful bidders. The tender for Specialty/Brand Name shop concessions in Terminal 1 opened on 23 July 2014 and closed in August last year.

 

The four concessions will operate for a total of three years. Concession A, which was won by Bangawan Solo Pte. Ltd, will be 52sq m in size. Concession B, which was won by LianBee-Jeco Pte Ltd, will also be about 52sq m in size.

Concession C, around 40.3sq m in size, was won by Pure Gold Jewellers (LLC), which has operated at several duty free locations across the Middle East and Asia, including Abu Dhabi Duty Free, Kuwait Duty Free, Muscat Duty Free, Jordan Duty Free, and Sri Lanka Duty Free.

 

Concession D, at 95sq m, is the largest of the four shops and will be a Luxury Ventures Pte Ltd- operated Tumi store, famous for it’s chic and functional luggage.

 

Concession A and B will begin operating on 11 March 2015 through to 10 March 2018. Concession C will open for business on 11 April 2015 through to 10 April 2018 and Tumi will open on 15 April 2015 through to 14 April 2018.

 

Among the unsuccessful bidders, on this occasion, were King Power International, Lagardere Services Singapore and The Nuance Group (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
