Driver joins Whyte & Mackay rare whiskies

W&M Driver smlScotch whisky house Whyte & Mackay has appointed Jonathan Driver as its Rare Whisky Director s part of a plan to grow the company’s luxury Scotch whisky portfolio internationally.

Key targets for expansion are The Dalmore Highland Malt and Jura Single Malt Whisky.

Driver has 27 years’ experience in Scotch, including a period as Global Malts Director at Diageo and, most recently, as a luxury brand consultant working on Johnnie Walker Blue Label and higher marques.

Nick Garland, Whyte & Mackay Global Commercial Director says: “Jonathan brings a wealth of experience, and his expertise will help us to continue the dynamic growth of The Dalmore and Jura brands in the right way.”

Driver adds: “Great work has been done to establish The Dalmore as a luxury Scotch whisky, and I look forward to working on its rare expressions to fulfil the brand’s enormous potential around the world.”
