MAG’s retail offer at Stansted.

The UK’s Manchester Airport Group is currently recruiting for a Head of Retail Strategy based either at Manchester or Stansted airports to drive forward what the group calls “an evolving retail model” across its airport estate and e-commerce platforms.

Foster has moved to Land Securities.

Steven Foster, former Head of Retail across the group, left MAG earlier this year to become General Manager at the Land Securities-owned White Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds. He had been with MAG for almost 10 years.

MAG owns four UK airports: Manchester, Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports and a key remit of the Head of Retail Strategy will be to develop and tailor the overall group strategy with the individual needs of each airport – in partnership with their respective Heads of Retail – to maximise duty free and travel retail revenue, and develop an omni-channel strategy.

In the financial year 2014/15 MAG’s 48.5m passengers generated commercial income of £313.2m/$416m, a rise of +10.8%.

The closing date for applications is 29 July.
