March date for Arlanda’s new retail complex

A new shopping ‘marketplace’ walkway featuring several brands is to open at Stockholm Arlanda Airport T5 in mid-March.
Stockholm Airport’s state-owned parent company Swedavia says it will feature branded stores including Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Longchamp, Swarovski and Rituals. In addition, Bath & Body Works – described as ‘one of the largest US retailers in skin care and fragrances’ – will be a new addition, making its debut in Europe, while Superdry will open its first shop in Sweden.
Commenting on the development, Kjell-Åke Westin, Airport Director at Stockholm Arlanda Airport said: “We want to offer our passengers the best start to their trip. So we continue to develop a unique marketplace with strong, exclusive brands that enable passengers to shop for brands that are not available in that many other places in Sweden.
RESPONDING TO CUSTOMER DEMAND
“The new shopping thoroughfare at Stockholm Arlanda is a clear example of how we are constantly developing the airport’s offering of shopping, food and beverages in order to meet the demand from our passengers.”
Swedavia says all of the renovated shop designs will be based on each brand’s individual identity and concept and it adds that Victoria’s Secret and Michael Kors have already opened shops in this location.
The large tax-free shop operated by Nuance is also located in Terminal 5, as are Designtorget, Capi Electronics and a number of fashion outlets, including Eton, Stenströms, Filippa K, Hunky Dory, Malene Birger, Tiger of Sweden, Gant, Tommy Hilfiger, Moschino, DKNY and Campomaggio.
Swedavia adds that in general terms, it plans to invest around seven billion Swedish kronor in Stockholm Arlanda Airport over the next decade.
