RETAIL MARKET RESEARCH….
With regard to this sesion, the organisers add that retail marketing research has long demonstrated a clear relationship between customer satisfaction and the propensity to spend. However, they claim that recent ACI research has now shed more light on this link, specifically in the context of the airport environment.

They say: “Moreover, ACI’s development of ‘passenger personas’ will allow attendees to not only determine which passenger profiles are traveling through their airport, but also what can be done to trigger increased spending. This session will explore how these findings are and will be influencing C-level stakeholders and their work at airports.”

This sesion is then due to be followed by ‘The challenges and opportunities of social and digital media and e-commerce’, which features Peter Zottl, Vice President Travel Retail, Swarovski; Amit Butani, Founder, Duty Free Buzz; and Eugene Barry, Executive Vice President, Commercial & Communications, Dubai Airports.

HOW AIRPORTS SEE THE CUSTOMER….

How airports should view the travelling consumer today is the next presentation and Q&A session scheduled with Glyn Williams, General Manager, Retail, Sydney Airport. Then this will be followed by the Trinity Panel 2 session, entitled ‘Telling it straight – how does the future look for our industry?

This promises to be ‘a hard-hitting, prophetic final session’, involving a broad array of Trinity perspectives, with the airport view represented by Dan Cappell, Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Abu Dhabi Airports and Kai Schmidhuber, Executive Vice President Multi-Channel, Fraport.

The brands perspective will led by Michael Guenoun, Managing Director Travel Retail Asia, Cartier, and the concessioniare representative speaker yet to be announced.
