Aelia takes two breaks in Luton and Nice airports

Top SCENE KITKAT Nice 'gone fishing'Aelia Duty Free reports ongoing promotions with its two simultaneous KitKat animations at both London Luton Airport and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport T1, where the retailer holds both duty free concessions.

The two special areas at both airports have been ‘inspired’ by the Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) 2016 global KITKAT campaign, ‘However you break, SHARE IT’, which has already been featured in other locations, including Rio de Janeiro, Paris, Singapore and Doha (= as already covered by TRBusiness).

As such, these two latest activations feature the well-known slogan ‘Have a Break Have a KitKat’, in corresponding digital spaces at both Nice and Luton airports. As part of this, the brandowner has developed interactive animations with different moving backgrounds for each location, depicting ‘funny pictures’.

‘Swimming with the fishes’ – a la selfie?

The company is now challenging passengers to share their breaks and win a selfie stick for their trouble with a minimum purchase amount.

They also have the possibility to upload their selfies onto social networks, with the only question posed, ’What kind of breaker are you?’
