This month, skincare specialist Clinique has launched its new SPF 30 Mineral Powder Makeup for Face in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is also making it available in the Pacific region from April.

 

The new product is described by the company as ‘a luxuriously silky, lightweight powder make up’, which also protects skin from environmental aggressors and harmful UVA/UVB rays.

 

Clinique said: “This good-for-skin mineral-enriched powder makeup covers imperfections and even skin tone.”

 

ONE ALL-DAY APPLICATION

The company describes it further as a sweat and high humidity-resistant formula that keeps oil and shine at bay all day with a natural matte finish, making skin look youthful and fresh.

 

The company adds: “It can be used alone, or layered over two of Clinique’s new in-sun face products SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid for Face and SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Fluid or Face.

 

 

 

Behind the label, Clinique says that the product comprises a mineral enriched formula containing ingredients such as talc and silica, which promotes healthy skin and provides ‘a flawless and gentle application’.

 

The product also provides protection through the use of physical sunscreen (titanium dioxide) as well as chemical sunscreen (ethylhexyl methoxy ciannamate). The beauty company says both combined sun screen technologies deliver the broad-spectrum SPF 30 UVA/UVB protection.

 

SKIN BRIGHTENING AGENT

In addition, the product is also said to brighten the skin, while instantly masking existing sun damage to create ‘radiant, even-toned skin. This is achieved thanks to light diffusing particles brightening the skin appearance for ‘a natural, translucent, soft matte finish’, which is also said to avoid any caking or chalking.

 

The company said: “A unique surface treatment on the pigments maximizes the camouflaging of imperfections, while allowing the skin to appear naturally refined.”

 

Last, but not least, Clinique says that polymers in the formula form a thin film that helps to promote all day wear, along with oil and shine control.

 

“Presented in a round yellow double-decker compact with a sponge applicator, this powder foundation is designed for easy touch ups on the go,” it concludes.
