Distell Global Travel Retail will showcase a selection of limited release malt whiskies at TFWA in Cannes from its premium malt portfolio, which includes Bunnahabhain, Deanston, Ledaig and Tobermory.

 

One release hails from Deanston distillery in Stirlingshire where malts are ‘hand-crafted by a skilled team using traditional methods with minimal technological involvement and barley grown by select local producers’.

 

An extremely limited Deanston 40 Year Old (RRP GBP £850) – just 480 bottles will be released – will be unveiled at the TFWA World Exhibition in October.

 

“Visitors will also encounter exciting releases from the oldest commercial distillery in Scotland,” says Distell.

 

AVAILABLE FROM OCTOBER/NOVEMBER
Tobermory distillery, which opened in 1798, is said to be the only distillery on the Hebridean island of Mull. It produces two very different single malts throughout the year – the unpeated Tobermory and ‘the more robust and smoky’ Ledaig.

 

The Global Travel Retail range includes a special release from each brand: Tobermory 21 Year Old (1995) Manzanilla Finish (RRP GBP £310) and the Ledaig 19 Year Old Marsala Finish (RRP GBP £125).

 

All of the featured limited release malts will be available at Distell GTR locations from the end of October or beginning of November 2016.
