Top Air FranceThe Lagardère Inflight and Servair joint venture, Dutyfly Solutions, has launched its new Safe & Light inflight duty free sales trolley, aimed at providing ‘added value’ on 1,000 of its clients’ flights at Air France, Air Caraïbes and Luxair.

Developed in collaboration with its Aerocat and Adelec industrial partners, Dutyfly Solutions says the new concept has been developed for all of its existing customers who want it, including Alitalia, Iberia, CSA Czech Airlines and Air Tahiti Nui.

Roger Abi Jaber, Dutyfly Director of Operations commented: “In a move that is at once civic, social and cost-effective, we have a new idea for our airline customers, the safe & light trolley.

“We want to replace the dull logistics containers currently used with a sales showcase worthy of the products we offer our customers.”

The company refers to the ‘solid advantages’ offered by this ‘mini revolution’, which it believes will be appreciated by ‘all air professionals’, in terms of ecology, cost-effectiveness, aesthetics, manoeuvrability and property security.

LIGHTER AND FUEL-FRIENDLY

Describing the new trolley, Dutyfly says that at 10 kilos, it is much lighter and easier to use than the classic version and ‘delivers genuine savings’ in terms of less weight equalling more fuel for the airline – due to the lighter load.

The company also claims that the trolley is easier to handle for the crew, while providing optimal security.

Dutyfly Solutions added: “Quality materials ensure enhanced trolley resistance and greater property security. Added to this is a new opening system based on custom badges for each crew member, thus enabling precise traceability.”

The trolley can also be used to advertise products or offers on three sides of the exterior, including the airline’s specific colours or branding and Dutyfly claims the trolley is a dynamic and high-impact medium for its clients.
