Ferrero reports success with Destination Packs

Top Ferrero Rocher T48 France Aelia CDG 2Ferrero Travel Market reports that it is very pleased with the reception it has received for its first travel-exclusive Ferrero Rocher T48 Destination packs which have launched in the US with Duty Free Americas (DFA).

The company says that its ‘special activations’ were organised by Ferrero and travel retailer DFA in the retailer’s airport locations of Atlanta, New York, Miami and Washington last December.

Importantly, the company says that this promotion in the US and the presentation of a French version with Aelia at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport last September have been the precursors to the company’s planned global roll-out.

As a result of this success, Ferrero Rocher T48 Destination packs will now be made available in key airport locations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.

Commenting, Patrick Baubry, General Manager, Ferrero Travel Market said: “Our pre-launch research, conducted in partnership with CIR, clearly indicated the appeal of souvenir gifts in the confectionery category.

“Guided by this research, we have created a product, which is modern and has strong gifting appeal. We have then taken a step further by making the powerful Ferrero Rocher brand available in an exclusive offer, which consumers have never seen before, with unique designs for specific destinations.”

He continued: “The Ferrero Rocher T48 Destination box is a complete innovation for the Ferrero Rocher brand and after the first activations in the USA and France, we are delighted to see that this very special and exclusive gift has been well received by consumers.

The pre-launch research was conducted in partnership with the CIR company.

 

“We look forward to rolling out similar destination-specific packs, as well as a generic ‘World Traveller’ pack, to other countries later this year.”

The company adds that the results speak for themselves for these souvenir packs of chocolate pralines, which are decorated with designs of the country’s most famous landmarks.

Ferrero Travel Market adds that these preliminary launches also confirm data from a pre-launch survey indicating that consumers scored the product’s gift-ability, modernity and appeal very highly.

The new Ferrero Rocher T48 Destination collection and the company’s portfolio of products will be available at the forthcoming IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas, on booth 1123 from 4-6 April.
