Miley Cyrus is confirmed as latest MAC Viva Glam star

By Caroline Sargent |

Not known for her shy and retiring personality, pop superstar Miley Cyrus is ready to make some positive noise for those affected by AIDS and HIV as the latest confirmed spokesperson for MAC Cosmetics’ Viva Glam campaign.

Effective from 2015, Cyrus follows in the footsteps of R&B powerhouse Rihanna and will kick off her tenure with two sure fire hits: a super sexy Hot Pink (Amplified) lipstick and matching Hot Pink with Sparkling Pearl lipglass.

Every cent of the selling price of a Viva Glam lipstick or lipglass goes toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV or AIDS. The MAC AIDS Fund is supported exclusively by this hyper-successful consumer-based model that directs 100% of the purchase price (minus VAT where applicable) of Viva Glam Lipstick and Lipglass to the Fund.

MAC Cosmetics underwrites all of the production costs of the Viva Glam line, donating the full sale price to the Fund, including would-be profits for retail partners.

Since being founded in 1994, The MAC AIDS Fund has raised more than $340 million through the sales of its celebrity endorsed lipstick and lipglass products.

The new Viva Glam products will be available at MAC travel retail locations worldwide from February 2015.
