Lal takes top TR job in Pernod Ricard reshuffle

Mohit Lal is the first new Chairman & CEO of Global Travel Retail at Pernod Ricard Travel Retail.

Mohit Lal has been appointed to the newly-created position of Chairman & CEO Global Travel Retail at Pernod Ricard Travel Retail, which he will also share with his exisiting position as Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Asia.

Lal will also become a member of the company’s Executive Committee (COMEX). He was originally appointed Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Asia in 2015 after serving as Managing Director in India from 2011.

Pernod Ricard said: “This new position will reinforce coordination between the three travel retail regions (Europe, Americas and Asia) and the domestic travel retail teams, facilitate the roll out of best practices and improve the coherence of group initiatives in this priority distribution channel.”

Mohit Lal has worked for Pernod Ricard for 15 years since Seagram India was taken over by Pernod Ricard.

 

Earlier in his career with Pernod Ricard, Lal worked for Irish Distillers as Financial Director between 2006 to 2011 and for Seagram India as Financial Director after it was taken over by Pernod Ricard in 2001.

At the beginning he was employed by Nestlé India and Perfetti India after graduating from Shri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi as a Business Science expert and accountant.
