UK accessories house, Morgan & Oates, is focusing on its exclusive use of natural fibres to buyers and renaming its collections to highlight fabric origins and heritage. The company has also relaunched its website to reflect the new approach.

“We realised that buyers did not understand the differences between our collections; nor the fact that we only use natural fibres and no synthetic materials,” says Kevin Galbraith, Sales Director Worldwide.

“We’ve completely redesigned our website to more clearly explain our philosophy and, as part of this, have named each collection to better identify its heritage.”

For example, the company’s 100% cashmere scarves [all made in the UK] are now called the Balmoral collection while its 100% silk wraps are called the Elixir collection.” This year buyers can see new designs of 60x180cm blended cashmere wraps within the Heritage collection. The wraps are woven in China’s Mongolian region and are offered in seasonally changing designs. Each is 10% cashmere and 90% merino.

In addition, at TFWA World Exhibition & Conference this year, Morgan & Oates will be showcasing: the Mandarin collection of 50% Chinese silk and 50% cashmere blended wraps; the Nepal collection of 10% cashmere, 30% silk and 60% merino lightweight ringshawl wraps; and the Windsor collection of 10% cashmere and 90% merino unisex scarves [woven in the UK].
