New Management Board and executive changes at LTR

Relay-Lagardere-Belgium-leadLagardère Travel Retail has announced the creation of a new Management Board to direct strategy, innovation and transformation, which is also charged with delivering greater operational and international input to the retailer’s Executive Committee.

 

This new body is to meet between six to eight times a year, incorporating the CEO of Duty Free Global, the Executive Vice Presidents Food & Human Resources, plus the CEOs of Paradies.

 

MICHEL PEROL IS DUE TO RETIRE

In a statement, LTR says the reorganisation comes ahead of the imminent retirement of Michel Perol, one of the company’s longest-serving executives [who has made a huge contribution to the business over the years-Ed].

(LtoR) Ambroise Fondeur, Jean-Baptiste Morin, Emmanuel de Place and Frédéric Chevalier.

In terms of personnel changes, Vincent Romet will now become Chief Executive Officer France, in charge of Travel Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion and Foodservice operations and he will also be responsible for the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia as Regional Chief Operating Officer.

 

At the same time, Frédéric Chevalier becomes Regional COO in charge of EMEA operations (except France, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates) and Ambroise Fondeur, formerly the CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Duty Free Global is appointed Chief Business Officer of Lagardère Travel Retail.

 

MORIN OVERSEES CHIEF TALENT ARENA

Meanwhile, Jean-Baptiste Morin retains his supervisory responsibilities in North American Travel Retail as the Regional COO, while he also takes on the additional role of Chief Talent & Organization Officer.

LTR said: “On top of being responsible for the organization of the information systems of the Group, he will soon be assisted by an EVP HR & Communication currently in the process of being recruited.”

 

Last, but not least, Luc Mansion, Chief Financial Officer and Emmanuel de Place, Regional Chief Officer ASPAC retain their respective roles and responsibilities, while Frédéric Renault is appointed to the position of Special Advisor to the General Management of the Group.
