Six new companies join the TFWA Management Committee

By Kevin Rozario |

Tax Free World Association has elected six new member companies to serve on its Management Committee which runs the duty free and travel retail organisation.

The newcomers are from three product categories as follows: beauty – Roger von der Weid of Art & Fragrance and Richard Cymberg from L’Oréal Travel Retail; gifts, home decoration, pens & electronics – David Ferreira of Cross and Genie-S International’s Michael Scott; confectionery & fine food – Patrick Dorais from Al Nassma Chocolate LLC and Eric Carlier of Valrhona.

The nominations of the full 37-member Management Committee (full list below) took place at the TFWA World show in Cannes at the end of October. The new team will serve from October 2014 to October 2016.

NO CHANGE OF VICE PRESIDENTS

All five Vice-Presidents on the TFWA Board have been elected to serve a further term. They are: Patrick Bouchard of Puig (Commercial), Frédéric Garcia-Pelayo of Inter Parfums (Finance), Carla Guiducci of Giorgio Armani (Marketing), Thom Rankin of Capi Global (Conferences & Research) and Alessandra Visconti of Reflecta (Corporate).

Erik Juul-Mortensen, President TFWA – whose role is up for re-election in December – says: “Membership of the Board and Management Committee of TFWA requires considerable commitment but it is a most rewarding experience. We are very grateful to all the individuals, both retiring and present, who have agreed to give their commitment, time and energy, and also to their respective companies for agreeing to make them available.”
