Estée Lauder-owned fragrance brand, Tory Burch, is launching Love Relentlessly, a new fragrance ‘inspired by a love story’, into travel retail from February.

 

Love Relentlessly opens with pink pepper, rose and orris combined with patchouli and ambertonic ‘to perfectly blend the classic with the modern’, says the brand.

 

Other notes include pink grapefruit, Sicilian lemon, sparkling pear, raspberry, lychee and jasmine sambac. Australian sandalwood, vetiver, cedarwood and tonka bean absolute sit at the fragrance’s heart.

 

“Rooted in the courtship of her parents, whom Tory describes as “the most romantic couple I have ever known,” Tory Burch’s newest fragrance is an ode to an extraordinary love affair,” says Lauder.

 

According to the story, after they met, Tory’s father wrote notes to her mother, which he ran in the ‘wanted’ section of the local newspaper. One read: “If I told you that I love you, would you hold it against me?”

 

Her father always signed off, “Love, Relentless”, which inspired the name of the fragrance.

 

“In 1961, the young couple jumped in Tory’s father’s convertible BMW and eloped to Old Sturbridge Village, Massachusetts,” adds Lauder. “In her mother’s words, every single day thereafter, they were, “mad for each other.”

 

“Their passion for life and for each other is an inspiration to Tory in the collections she designs and now in this romantic new scent.”
