‘Year of the Sheep’ limited edition cigar by Davidoff

By Caroline Sargent |

To mark the Chinese Year of the Sheep, Davidoff Cigars is introducing a highly exclusive limited edition from 15 November.

The refined, medium-strength Piramide cigar is presented as a pack of eight in a bespoke wooden box evocative of traditional Chinese architecture and is unequivocally aimed at the Chinese traveller.

Belonging to the element of wood, the Sheep is a craftsman, an artist, a devotee of beauty, fashioning a world of harmony and aesthetic pleasure, claims the brand.

“The Zodiac sign of the Sheep has many common values with Davidoff,” says Charles Awad, Senior Vice President Marketing and Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff AG.

“The appreciation for craftsmanship and the sense of refinement and style which brings joy to others are at the heart of everything Davidoff believes in. In keeping with this belief, these exclusive cigars have been lovingly crafted using the rarest and most precious ingredient – time”.

Viewed by connoisseurs as the most refined of cigar shapes, this Piramide features a longer head than usual and contains a complex blend of tobaccos. A red and gold second ring displays the image of the Zodiac Sheep.

Only 7,000 skus of the Davidoff Year of the Sheep 2015 Limited Edition will go on sale in the US from 15 November, offered alongside elegant accessories including an ashtray, prestige lighters and custom-made scissors. Worldwide distribution commences from 8 December.
