By Charlotte Turner |
Andrew Baker has been appointed General Manager at Phoenicia Aer Rianta Company (PAC), which operates Beirut Duty Free stores at Rafic Hariri International Airport.
Baker re-joins ARI from Dublin Airport’s Commercial team, prior to which he spent a number of years working with ARI in several overseas locations.
His ARI retail career started in 1991 for Moscow Duty Free. He also worked on the Eurotunnel project in 1994 and in Cyprus in 1996, before returning to Moscow again in 1998 and moving on to Qatar in 2002.
Andrew’s most recent posting was in Auckland, as ARI’s Implementation Manager where he oversaw the opening of our first ever duty free shop in New Zealand.
Gerry Crawford ARI Chief Operations Officer commented: “I’m delighted that Andrew has taken up the GM position in Beirut Duty Free. His extensive experience from both the airport and travel retail perspective will be of enormous benefit to the local team.”
