Chinese NY collaboration between Le Clos and Chateau Rothschild

Dubai International’s fine wine and luxury spirits retailer Le Clos is celebrating the Chinese New Year of the Goat with some ‘stunning’ offers on its exclusive portfolio of Rothschild wines.

The ultra-premium retailer is also offering travellers the chance to win a Château Mouton Rothschild 2000 Jeroboam, worth AED 42,000, between now and 10 March 2015.

Specially selected to honour the Year of the Goat, its gold enamelled label is a reproduction of Jakob Schenauer’s ‘Augsburg Ram’. Those who purchase any five Rothschild family wines will also save 20% and, for white wine enthusiasts, there is also 20% off Grand Cru Chablis.

The Rothschild wines hold a particular affinity amongst Chinese collectors, says Le Clos, and are much sought-after by wine enthusiasts from around the world.

With the significant rise in Chinese travellers visiting Dubai and red wine considered the number one gift of choice for men, Le Clos says it hopes to surprise and delight its customers with its great range and complimentary engraving service.

Ben Odgers, General Manager at Le Clos, remarks, “As many of our customers will be celebrating Chinese New Year, we wanted to honour the Year of the Goat with wines that we know are highly appreciated by them.

“It is important to us at Le Clos to ensure the best service to our valued customers, so with a rising number of Chinese consumers looking for the highest quality red wines, it seemed the perfect fit.

“We wish all our customers Gong Xi Fa Cai and look forward to celebrating with them this month.”

The company adds that its Dubai-based staff speak more than 20 languages between them, allowing for 24 hour Mandarin coverage across the five airport outlets.

Pre-orders are also available via a bespoke concierge service, accessed through the website or by phone – travellers are then met by a Le Clos representative with their purchase as they transit through Dubai International.
