DDF finds the latest Finest Surprise Mercedes winner
By Doug Newhouse |
Northern Ireland professional golfer Rory McIlroy MBE drew the winning ticket at Sunday’s Omega Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Draw, guaranteeing a brand new Mercedes Benz S500 for 48-year old Indian national Mr. A. Karuppusamy.
DDF reports that the Indian customer from Abu Dhabi was ‘thrilled’ to get the news: “This is such a surprising news and I can’t believe that I finally have my own car!” he said.
The winning ticket number 1018 was picked out in series 1595 by the 25-year old McIIroy, following his very impressive three-shot victory at the Emirates Golf Club on Sunday evening, where he finished 22 under par – equalling the tournament record. [McIIroy last won this tournament when he was 19-Ed].
The Northern Irishman, who is a firm favourite just about everywhere, drew the ticket as he was accompanied (on his right) by Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman, Colm McLoughlin and Corporate Communications and VP – Marketing, Sinead El Sibai and (on his left) by George Horan, President and Salah Tahlak, Senior VP.
Tickets for the Finest Surprise promotion were also on sale at Dubai Duty Free counters at the Emirates Golf Club throughout the Omega Desert Classic – held from 26 January to 1 February.
