Celebrating their successful partnership, Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR), Brown-Forman and Dubai Airports will host the first ever airside music event tonight, 27 November, in the exclusive surroundings of Jack’s Bar & Grill.

 

Hailed as the ‘essence of the Trinity partnership and commitment’, the world’s first and only Jack’s Bar & Grill was launched in January 2013 and is the only bar outside of the Jack Daniel’s distillery to hold the full portfolio of limited and special edition Tennessee whiskeys.

 

It was awarded ‘Best Speciality Concept’ in the Frontier Awards, a Highly Recommended – Best Airport Bar’ in the 2013 FAB Awards, and most recently, took the Trinity Prize in recognition of the three-way partnership between ELR, Brown-Forman and Dubai International Airport.

 

The performance, by British born, Dubai based acoustic guitarist Abbo, will take place at 20:15, 21:30 and at 22:45 Thursday and also on Friday morning, in Dubai International Airport’s Concourse A (between Gates A-15 and Gate 16).

 

Commenting on Dubai Airport’s first-of-its-kind musical event, Tony McIver, Jack Daniel’s Area Director, cited the Tennessee whiskey’s long association with music:

 

“Jack Daniel’s has been associated with music practically since its inception in Lynchburg, Tennessee. While it is most closely identified with Frank Sinatra and many of the music industry’s greatest bands and singers, Jack Daniel’s has been a long-time supporter of live music events, large and small.

 

“It is fitting that Dubai Airport’s first airside music event takes place in the world’s first Jack Daniel’s Bar & Grill. The event will give hundreds of travellers passing through one of the world’s busiest airports a chance to relax and enjoy some terrific music and maybe enjoy a Jack Daniel’s or Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey cocktail while they do it,” McIver said.

 

As part of the music promotion, consumers are invited to purchase a bottle from the Jack Daniel’s family – Gentleman Jack, Silver Select, Sinatra Select and Woodford Reserve – from Dubai Duty Free and have a personal message engraved on the bottle in Jack’s Bar & Grill.
